Over lunch today, we (my wife, 4-year old daughter, and our non-conversant 1.5-year old) discussed the fact that sometimes adults cry. It took some convincing for our daughter to believe that sometimes adults, even Pops and Lolo (her maternal and paternal grandfathers, respectively), cry.
"Why do they cry?" she asked.
"Well, when something sad happens or they get their feelings hurt," I said.
"Or when someone takes their toys?"
